This article will discuss how to find profitable niche markets to build websites you wish to sell or keep. You will agree with me that websites flipping is the rave of the moment on the internet right now. Unfortunately, majority of website flippers are building blogs and web sites in niche markets that are not in high demand because they hardly conduct profitable niche markets due diligence before embarking on such projects.
Buying and selling websites is only a profitable online business model if and only if you do it right. From niche market selection to product creation or selection, profitable long tail keywords research, domain name registration, building an optimized blog or website, choosing the best monetization model for each specific niche market, blog promotion, and so on, are very important elements you should not treat lightly.
However, in this article I am going to show you how to find profitable niche markets quickly and smartly. Actually, there are more than 101 research websites on the internet which any webmaster can use to scoop niche markets ideas. But I am going to use a popular and a big affiliate network site called ClickBank.com. You can also follow this niche research tips to find profitable niche markets from other websites which you may decide to use.
First, you have to log on to the website’s marketplace at Clickbank.com/marketplace.htm. While on this web page, you will see a list of categories on the left hand side of the page, as of writing, which represent broad markets in their database.
There are categories like “health and fitness”, “ebusiness and emarketing”, software, travel, to name a few. Now, clicking on any of the categories that interests you will take you to another web page with list of products displayed according to product’s popularity in that sub category. These are products and services that have already been created.
The default setting is going to show you only 10 popular products in that sub category (or sub niche if you like). On the page, you can select from a drop down menu the number of products you want to display on the upper right of the page up to 50 products.
For me, I decided to select the “home and garden” category and then “crafts and hobbies”. Next, I filtered the number of products to display to 50. Here is where it gets interesting and this is how to find niche markets you can bet your bottom dollar on.
Arguably, the merchants or products owners must have done their niche market and product research before spending time, energy and money in creating products they want to sell. Otherwise, it will not make any profitable sense to start creating a product. With this in mind, I can comfortably tamp down on specific niche markets using the merchants’ products and services on display as a guide.
Let me continue with the “crafts and hobbies” sub category for my niche markets analysis. I can see a product on “wood working”. This is wood working niche market. I can see a product on “sewing”. This is sewing niche. You can even drill down to a sub-sub niche based on the specific problem, topic or subject the product on display addresses.
For example, in the sewing niche, a product could be created on how to use the sewing needle with your fingers effectively. Just an example! As soon as I pick a niche, I can go ahead to do my own niche market profitability analysis by researching the search volumes with the best keyword research tool, market competition, availability of buyer keywords in the niche, etc.
That is all there is on how to find profitable niche markets whether you are a webmaster or an entrepreneur who wants to know how to flip websites.
