How to Find Profitable Niche Markets You Can Build Websites to Sell

July 12th, 2011 by Ed | No Comments | Filed in Internet Marketing

This article will discuss how to find profitable niche markets to build websites you wish to sell or keep. You will agree with me that websites flipping is the rave of the moment on the internet right now. Unfortunately, majority of website flippers are building blogs and web sites in niche markets that are not in high demand because they hardly conduct profitable niche markets due diligence before embarking on such projects.

Buying and selling websites is only a profitable online business model if and only if you do it right. From niche market selection to product creation or selection, profitable long tail keywords research, domain name registration, building an optimized blog or website, choosing the best monetization model for each specific niche market, blog promotion, and so on, are very important elements you should not treat lightly.

However, in this article I am going to show you how to find profitable niche markets quickly and smartly. Actually, there are more than 101 research websites on the internet which any webmaster can use to scoop niche markets ideas. But I am going to use a popular and a big affiliate network site called ClickBank.com. You can also follow this niche research tips to find profitable niche markets from other websites which you may decide to use.

First, you have to log on to the website’s marketplace at Clickbank.com/marketplace.htm. While on this web page, you will see a list of categories on the left hand side of the page, as of writing, which represent broad markets in their database.

There are categories like “health and fitness”, “ebusiness and emarketing”, software, travel, to name a few. Now, clicking on any of the categories that interests you will take you to another web page with list of products displayed according to product’s popularity in that sub category. These are products and services that have already been created.

The default setting is going to show you only 10 popular products in that sub category (or sub niche if you like). On the page, you can select from a drop down menu the number of products you want to display on the upper right of the page up to 50 products.

For me, I decided to select the “home and garden” category and then “crafts and hobbies”. Next, I filtered the number of products to display to 50. Here is where it gets interesting and this is how to find niche markets you can bet your bottom dollar on.

Arguably, the merchants or products owners must have done their niche market and product research before spending time, energy and money in creating products they want to sell. Otherwise, it will not make any profitable sense to start creating a product. With this in mind, I can comfortably tamp down on specific niche markets using the merchants’ products and services on display as a guide.

Let me continue with the “crafts and hobbies” sub category for my niche markets analysis. I can see a product on “wood working”. This is wood working niche market. I can see a product on “sewing”. This is sewing niche. You can even drill down to a sub-sub niche based on the specific problem, topic or subject the product on display addresses.

For example, in the sewing niche, a product could be created on how to use the sewing needle with your fingers effectively. Just an example! As soon as I pick a niche, I can go ahead to do my own niche market profitability analysis by researching the search volumes with the best keyword research tool, market competition, availability of buyer keywords in the niche, etc.

That is all there is on how to find profitable niche markets whether you are a webmaster or an entrepreneur who wants to know how to flip websites.

How to Find Niche Market Online and Make Easy Money

November 20th, 2009 by Ed | No Comments | Filed in Internet Marketing

It is not difficult to find niche market online to target for your marketing campaigns if you do your due diligence. Every problem, frustration or desire which human beings go through in life is a potential niche market. When you are able to discover any of these needs and fill it promptly before your competitors do, you will make easy money.

The basic process is to find niche market, know what their problems or desires are and then provide a solution that fills the need from a unique angle. Here is the process I go through when conducting niche market research.

1.         I Am a Keen Observer and Listener

Business ideas are everywhere only if you can uncover them. I read newspapers and magazines; I watch television and cable for news items. From there an idea will ring a bell which I will further investigate utilizing online research tools.

On the local scene, people always congregate to discuss current economic and political issues that affect them. If I am anywhere like that I scoop ideas from them by being attentive and unobtrusive.

What about niche forums? I lurk around in online forums, reading threads that generate polarized views which can spin niche market idea as well.

You can also discover profitable niche markets by regularly visiting some specialized sites with built-in search terms and/or trend analysis. To mention few of these sites, Ebay.com, Shopping.com, Lycos.com, etc.

2.                 Investigate Your Chosen Niche Market Using Keyword Research Tool

There is free and paid tools you can use in conducting your niche market research. The most dependable free tool I use is Google Keyword Tool External. Using this tool will enable you to investigate many variables that will help you to decide if a niche is viable or not.

Because Google research tool is free, I prefer to use it in conjunction with Micro Niche Finder. It is awesome keyword research software. If you have money to invest I recommend this sleek software for you. Your one time investment will pay itself back within a couple of days.

You can watch the free video here to see how to find niche markets the easy way using Micro Niche Finder.

3.                 Check Out the Competition

Where there is demand, you are sure of supply because entrepreneurs will always be motivated by profits to provide solutions to fill a need. And when too many suppliers are providing solutions to fill a need, it could be choking for an ordinary Joe who is just starting out.

That is why you have to check whether or not the competition is keen or weak. Low or weak competition is better to target.

I use Google search engine to check how tight the competition is. What I simply do is to type in my keyword and hit the search button as shown below.

If I am able to find niche market with weak competition that is less than 5,000 using the quotes, I feel good to work in that market. But I must be convinced that the market is likely to spend money.

June 21st, 2009 by Ed | No Comments | Filed in Internet Marketing

If you desire to start an internet business until it becomes profitable while maintaining your full time job, this short report is for you. As with every viable venture, you need time and money to turn it to profits. It is the same with starting, building, running and growing an internet business.

First, a business built and maintained on the World Wide Web is called an internet business. It is a bit different from bricks-and-mortar ventures because it could be run on autopilot without your physical presence all the time. But there is first-time work to be done and skills to acquire in order to achieve this successfully. I will discuss them here.

You must utilize your spare time to work on your web business as much as is possible. Time is of the essence. You may have to deny yourself some recreational activities like going to dinner with friends and family, attending movies and all of that. The saying, “What is worth doing at all, is what doing well” is also true with internet business. Juggle your time while maintaining your full time job. Diligent time management is more than required to succeed. Use your weekends and holidays to do most of your work. It pays!

Many people fail in business, whether online or offline, because they just don’t take the time to learn the fundamentals of starting a business profitably. Whether you are a genius, you will have to learn how to drive a car the first time. You will not be able to expertly handle the steering, do reverse, and negotiate bends in your first time of being behind the wheel.

You should draw up a business plan and adhere to it. It will guide you in setting up attainable goals. You will be able to measure your success (or even failure) with your plan. You will know what is working and what is not and adjust accordingly.

What about the drive, desire and focus to succeed? The preceding virtues must be handy when you want to start an internet business and still maintain your full time job. Rome was not built in a day, so I am told. It takes time! You will need the patience of Job to see your online business grow into profits.

Starting and growing an online business is cost effective compared with offline business. But you will need internet marketing skills, writing and content creation skills, search engine optimization skills, niche and keyword research skills, basic web design skills and back linking skills in order to survive the cut-throat competition associated with doing any niche business online. These skills are not hard to learn. It is your determination that determines your altitude.

I have found out a big secret to fast internet business success. It is by aligning with an online expert or mentor. By following his success route and guidance, you will achieve great things in record time. The money you invest in tapping into the knowledge and experience of an expert will always pay back itself in the shortest possible time. It is a guarantee but you should do your own due diligence to choose an expert.

There are, however, well known internet gurus you should consider working with. You can NEVER fail with them if you follow their proven systems of making money online. Two of them are:

Rosalind Gardners at  Internet Business Profits

Ewen Chia at Internet Marketing Guide

One cardinal strength amongst these gurus is the grit to succeed. They have paid their dues and they know their onions. Within a month of paying for their information products or joining any of their membership sites, you can start making profits that is enough for you to re-invest into your internet business.

Do you know you can ditch your day job and earn a comfortable living online on full time basis? It is so simple and straight forward. Check out the details HERE on how to start an internet business and say good bye to your day job.
